Homeschoolers don't take education for granted. We don't rely on the government's programs to instruct our kids or come up with a solution to meet our needs. Not that the government's education ideas are all bad. They aren't. We just don't rely on them.

It's humorous how the Scripture reveals man's origin: "God formed man out of dust." I always thought dust was somewhat of a nuisance, without purpose, worthless. It's amazing what it can become when placed into the skilled hands of a Master artisan.

Have you ever been asked that rhetorical question, "Were you born in a barn?" My mother used to ask me that when I'd forget to shut the back door. It never occurred to me to be weary of hearing it, but then, it never occurred to me to shut the door either
