Over the past few months, we have received many letters from loyal Beacon readers. There is a stirring amongst the faith community... and rightfully so. Our world is changing all around us, with much we hold dear being tossed aside. We are encouraged to hear from Brothers and Sisters in Christ, who share their faith for the Glory of His Kingdom. Father’s, We are Truly Blessed

I was saved at age 15, but didn’t really know Jesus. If the road is so narrow, then no chance a sinner like me gets in, so why try? All that changed the second I held my first child, my son Grant. In an instant, I realized what God did for me, a sinner. He gave His perfect son for me? Yes, for me. I buried myself in the word, and let God speak directly to me about grace and mercy. My life was transformed.

Facing the Truth of Facebook

Pam Lutrell pic My children will be embarrassed about the focus of this column. My students, former and current, will call me lame and out of touch. Even some adult colleagues will encourage me to just try it and I’ll like it. But, no matter what is said to me, I will stand firm that FACEBOOK and other forms of technology are shutting down the potential of our younger generation.
