St. James will be seen tomorrow (15th) on CBN’s flagship “700 Club,” speaking about the heartening acceptance accorded the release of her first starring role on film in “Sarah’s Choice,” –a movie with a strong pro life message.

Phil Stacey Moves Into the Light

The Beacon: You mentioned that the American Idol experience taught you “that you didn’t have it together”. Help me understand that.

Phil Stacey: Honestly, I’m just not afraid to be transparent about my faith. I became very weak on “American Idol.” When I  was on the show. Because what happened, here I was, we talk about how we can credit ourselves with certain things. If anybody has made the sacrifices necessary to have it together, it’s me. I was saved when I was seven years old. I was on the road doing ministry when I was 13. I was involved, ended up becoming the leader of our choir in college, the lead singer. Four years and I came off and I became a music minister. Ended up being involved in the Navy, I was in ministry. I ended up being a part time music minister at First Coast Christian Center in Jacksonville, Florida. You know, I had it together.
